Bulky Item Disposal & Recycling Event

Saturday, August 24th

10am-12pm

Brought to you by the Multnomah Neighborhood Association Livability Committee, through a grant from Oregon Metro.

Also in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Restore, Anfield & sons Metal Recyclers and FreeGeek.

Bring bulky items to be re-homed, recycled or disposed of. This is for items too big to fit in your garbage bin. Suggested donation is $25 a car, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

In order to lessen our impact to the environment, MNA has partnered with the following organizations to re-home or recycle eligible items:

  • Habitat for Humanity Restore will be taking all furniture and household items that still have use for others.

  • Anfield & Sons Metal Recycling will be in attendance accepting all metal, appliances and pressurized vessels like propane tanks for proper recycling.

  • FreeGeek will accept all working and non-working electronics for reuse and recycling. See complete list of what is accepted by FreeGeek and what is not (click here).

All other items will be collected and disposed of.

This event is first come, first served, and will close when the dumpsters are full. Anyone arriving after the event is closed, even if this is before 12 PM, will be given a flyer with additional resources of where to take their items. Street access is limited, please arrive no earlier than 10 AM.

For more details on what you should and shouldn't bring, please see the MNA website: https://www.mnapdx.org/livability.

Those interested in volunteering to help out with hosting, please contact the church office at info@multpreschurch.org
