Rejoice! Kids Marimba Band
playing the Blazers Pre-show!

Our Music Ministry is a joy-filled celebration of Jesus. Various groups participate in worship each week, led by our Music Director, Ray McKean, and our Director of Marimba Ensembles, Amy McKean. Ray and Amy’s versatility and the gifts of our volunteer musicians make for an eclectic and uplifting mix of worship music. Typically, our praise team leads with piano, guitars, bass, and drums, but on occasion you'll hear the banjo, mandolin, ukulele, organ, accordion, marimbas, flutes, violins, and much more. If you are interested in connecting with our music ministry, please contact Ray McKean or Amy McKean.

MUSIC MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Adult Choir: New members are always welcome to join! From September-May, our choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:15PM.

  • Rejoice! Kids Marimba Band: Our kids marimba band is for students in grades 5-12, and they rehearse on Saturdays during the school year. The group plays in worship several times a year, and occasionally participates in other events and services! Contact Director Amy McKean for more information.

  • Jubilation! Adult Marimba Band: We have an adult marimba group that rehearses throughout the year and plays for special worship services. Contact Amy McKean for rehearsal times.

  • MPC Praise Team: If you have a passion for singing or playing an instrument, we would love to have you! The band leads worship in our weekly services and rehearses Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15AM.

  • MPC Ukulele Group: Ever wanted to play ukulele but didn't know where to start? Come join us on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:00PM to learn the basics and play for fun with others. Limited ukuleles are available for those who don't have their own instrument.
