ADULT EDUCATION& FELLOWSHIP

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. -Acts 2:42

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

Our Adult Sunday School Program is a great way to get plugged into the life of MPC! The aim of this program is to grow into more faithful and mature disciples of Jesus. Throughout the program year (Sept-May), we offer various courses that are rooted in the Bible and relevant to the Christian life in today's complex world.

  • CURRENT CLASS (beginning 9/27/2020): The Bible Project's "Church at Home" Study

    • Sundays, 9:30AM on Zoom

    • To Sign Up: Email the MPC Office

    • This is a great opportunity to go deeper into Scripture! And if you are not able to make it every time, that is perfectly fine. Anyone is welcome to join at any time. Each session represents a lesson on a unique biblical theme, so you don’t have to worry about falling behind in the study. We’d love to have you join us to be encouraged, and perhaps challenged by God’s Word.

MPC FALL BOOK STUDY: The Color of Compromise by Jemar Tisby

This study will give us the opportunity to engage with the issue of racial injustice through the lens of church history and the Bible. The group will meet five times beginning Thursday, October 15th, and will be led by Pastor Danny Peters.

SMALL GROUPS

We believe that God calls us to be in relationship with others in order to grow in love, faith, and the knowledge of Scripture. A variety of daytime, evening, women’s, men’s, or mixed small groups meet at MPC. Please contact the church office for more information about joining such a group. A few examples of the various groups are:

  • Friday Men's Breakfast, 6:30AM in Rooms 107-108 (lower level): Every Friday morning, a group of men from MPC meet for food, fellowship, a study, and prayer. On the first Friday of the month, the group meets at Six Corners Cafe in Raleigh Hills. New members always welcome!

  • Tuesday Morning Bible Study, 10:00AM in the Chapel: Led by Pastor Danny, this study takes a deeper dive into the previous Sunday's Bible passage.

  • Presbyterian Women, 11:45AM on the 2nd Wednesday, Rooms 107-108: A monthly gathering for women of the church, which includes lunch, fellowship, and Bible study.

  • First Friday Book Club, 6:15PM, 1st Friday: All readers are welcome to join for a time of fellowship and discussion.

  • MPC Quilters, Mondays 10:00AM in Rooms 107-108: In addition to wonderful fellowship, this group is also a mission effort of MPC, as they have provided more than 2,500 quilts for CARES NW.

  • Prayer Team, Wednesdays 7:00PM in the Chapel: Every Wednesday, a group of MPC members gathers to pray for our church family, our community, and our world. Anyone is welcome to join, and please notify the church office if you would like to share a prayer request with our Prayer Team.
