ADULT EDUCATION & FELLOWSHIP

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. -Acts 2:42

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

Our Adult Sunday School Program is a great way to get plugged into the life of MPC! The aim of this program is to grow into more faithful and mature disciples of Jesus. Throughout the program year (Sept-May), we offer various courses that are rooted in the Bible and relevant to the Christian life in today's complex world.

Starting March 29th, join us Sunday mornings as we focus on the gospel of Luke, using Adam Hamilton’s John: Gospel of Light and Life as our guide. The Gospel of John is the most deeply spiritual of the four gospels. This writing is filled with rich images and profound truths, but John notes that his aim in writing the gospel is that readers will not only believe in Jesus Christ, but that they “may have life in his name.” We’ll follow the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus through the Gospel of John and understand the context of some of the best-known verses in the New Testament.

John England will facilitate this study before worship each Sunday from 9am to 10am. The format of the class features short readings, short videos and discussions based on the readings and video. Participants are encouraged but not required to purchase Hamilton’s book. We have already purchased a limited number of books for a nominal price of $15. Additional books will be available from Amazon

SMALL GROUPS

We believe that God calls us to be in relationship with others in order to grow in love, faith, and the knowledge of Scripture. A variety of daytime, evening, women’s, men’s, or mixed small groups meet at MPC. Please contact the church office for more information about joining such a group. A few examples of the various groups are:

  • Friday Men's Fellowship: 8:00AM on the 1st and 3rd Fridays in the Fellowship Hall: We meet for a light breakfast of beverages, cereals and pastries along with a time of general fellowship and discussion. If you have any questions or would like to join us, please email the church office.

  • Prayer Team, Tuesdays 7:00PM on Zoom: Every Tuesday, a group of MPC members gathers to pray for our church family, our community, and our world. Anyone is welcome to join, and please notify the church office if you would like to share a prayer request with our Prayer Team.
