Multnomah Presbyterian Church (”MPC”) is a non-profit organization that endeavors to serve the community as a site of worship, as well as a place to safely gather for community activities. We have a beautiful facility and it is part of our mission to host events that improve the spiritual health and well being of our community.

The church is available to MPC members and MPC-affiliated groups, such as Dove Preschool, and mission partners. Appropriate uses include such activities as weddings, memorial services, celebrations, family gatherings, receptions, retreats, and meetings of members such as book clubs, sports activities, hobby groups, and bible study. These uses may be single use or recurring events. The MPC office should be made aware of such events in advance and manage the scheduling of space.

The facility is also available for use by non-MPC members or groups for single use activities that are consistent with the MPC mission and community needs. Requests must be submitted in writing using the MPC facility request form. Use of MPC space is subject to availability and approval by the Head of Staff.

Donations are encouraged to continue the work of MPC and its availability to the community. Recommendations regarding potential donations for specific spaces and uses are provided.

MPC staff may also be available to participate and support the events. Rates for staff time are provided for are listed. A check may be made out to MPC for staff payments.

For larger events, a security deposit may be required to ensure that we can return the facility to the condition it was in prior to the event. This will be used to cover damage repair or custodial work primarily. The rest will be returned after the event check out.

All external users must provide proof of insurance and sign a Facility Use and Waiver of Liability Agreement. If non-members are participating in activities organized by members, such as pickleball games or youth programs, a release from liability form will be signed and retained in the MPC office.

Finally, any long term committed use of space will be negotiated and outlined in a detailed lease or facility use agreement with appropriate legal and tax review prior to approval by Session.

Relevant paperwork must be returned to the church office no less than two weeks prior to building use, or else event request will be cancelled.

These will be recorded and a receipt will be provided on request. A list of suggested donations based on space and time used will be provided to the requestor.
