Welcome to Multnomah Presbyterian Church

Loved by Christ, we love. Served by Christ, we serve.

Invited by Christ, we go, inviting others to Him.

Multnomah Presbyterian Church is an evangelical Presbyterian church within the PC(USA) denomination. We are a community of faith, centered on Jesus Christ.

July is time for the Grauer Back-To-School Project

School is barely over and we are already planning for next Fall’s school year. Grauer Back-to-School Project serves approximately 600 low income children right here in Southwest Portland. While you are shopping this month, please remember to buy supplies for the needy children who are our neighbors and friends and who attend the Wilson cluster of schools.
Here’s the ABC’s of the
Back to School Project:
A is for Apparel:
New underwear, new socks, new shoes,
new t-shirts and coats (July 6)
B is for Binders, Backpacks,
binder paper and notebooks (July 13)
C is for Crayons, Calculators,
pencils, pens and markers (July 20)

Donation of any of the above are welcome at any time.  Place your donations in the big collection barrel in the Fireplace area any Sunday in July.  Donation boxes will be available at our Outdoor Worship and Picnic on July 20th.

If you would like to volunteer to help on the day we give the clothing and school supplies away (August 9, 2014) please contact the volunteer coordinator, Karen Perkins at (503) 968-6422.

Prodigal Son

Jesus heard us in our need and said,
"I love you . . . follow Me."

He called to us in our fear and said, u
“Don’t be afraid . . . follow Me.”

He found us in the dark and said,
“I am the light of life .  .. follow Me.”

He saw us lost and said,
“I am the way . . . follow Me.”

So we listen . . . and we follow the God who is Love, Light and Life…who is the Christ.

Join us in this amazing journey, won’t you?

In Christ Forever,
Rev. John and Rev. Sylvia Dilworth,

Good News From John Lacy

I can’t believe it is halfway through June already. So much has happened during this short time we have been with you, that time has really flown by. By the time you get this newsletter, Vacation Bible School will be history. Heather and all you great volunteers will have made it a record year for attendance and for the seeds of faith you will have planted in young lives. It is a large undertaking for a church this size, and our biggest outreach to children for the year. Thanks to all of you who prayed and worked hard to make it a success!
